Step One

Mix 150g softened butter and 150g soft brown sugar with an electric whisk

Step Two

When mixture is light and fluffy, beat in one egg and 1 tsp vanilla extract

Step Three

Fold in 200g plain flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder and 200g chocolate chips

Step Four

Heat the oven to 180C and divide the mixture into balls, spacing out evenly

Step Five

Bake for 8-10 mins until crisp at the edge but soft in the middle. Enjoy warm!
